Graduate and International Student Welcome Back Social

Sept. 6, 2024, 3 to 6 p.m.
Holmes Student Center, Huskie Den

Graduate and International students, please join us for our Welcome Back Social at the Huskie Den! We will have food, drinks, bowling and billiards. This event will serve as a fun way to meet fellow students and staff members. Welcome program at 3:15 p.m. Bowling and billiards from 4 to 6 p.m. This event is FREE.

University Writing Center

Free in-person and online tutoring is available to NIU graduate students at the University Writing Center (UWC). Work on writing from course assignments all the way through theses and dissertations, discuss strategies for writing different types of documents like literature reviews, and review professional writing like email or LinkedIn. Availability is subject to staffing and demand, so schedule your visits today!

 

Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning

Teaching Assistant Institute
Live sessions on Aug. 19, 20, and 22 
All live sessions are from 9 to 9:30 a.m.

The Teaching Assistant Institute features a mix of live online discussions and pre-recorded videos as well as asynchronous activities to promote connection and community. While most of the institute will be the same for everyone, you will also be able to choose from a selection of elective activities based on your experience and role.
