Graduate Student Appreciation Week

We’re celebrating Graduate Student Appreciation Week from April 1-5, 2024. The week provides a perfect opportunity to recognize the contributions of the almost 4,000 graduate students who are part of our Huskie community. Our graduate students bring great value and impact to the university, the state, and the world through their research, service, and roles as teachers, mentors, and leaders. Through their curiosity, dedication, and determination, they lend insight into and offer solutions to our most pressing challenges, and make our world a better place.

For graduate students, the Graduate School is sponsoring a week of online and in-person activities that focus on connection, health, and well-being. We invite the NIU community to join us in showing appreciation for our graduate students and their achievements.
